Tulle
Named after the French city Tulle, it is a widely open see-through yet very stable netting. This rarefied netting made of diamond openings is solid, resistant and long-lasting. Tulle can be useful for several applications:
- Curtainings and mosquito netting
- Womens clothing: lingerie, ruffles and appliqué for garments
- Wedding: wedding gowns and veils, favours, decorations
- Dance: basic element for tutu production
- Decoration: bows and decorations, very popular for floral and confectionary
packaging
- Showcase decoration
- Costume: for masquerades and plays
- Industrial production: filters, nets and caps for food processing areas
- Embroideries
According to the different materials that can be used to produce tulle, its features
may vary, and its handle may be soft or stiff. Yarns are generally very
fine and twisted. It can be obtained from natural fibres such as cotton,
silk, and/or man-made fibres like polyester, nylon, lurex.
